Satri House Hotel is a new property, which has been opened. It is a standard hotel of 35 air-conditioned standard rooms. All rooms have a private bath and TV set. It is located on Phouvao Road, close to major restaurants and just about 2 kms from downtown.

SATRI HOUSE HOTEL
This boutique hotel of twenty five rooms provides accommodation of timeless style in a unique historic property. The house was built in 1885. The residence of a branch of the Lao royal family it was the childhood home of Prince Souphanouvong, the resistance leader known as the “Red Prince”, and from 1975 the first president of the Lao PDR.
Rooms & Amenities
The building, now a heritage protected property, was sensitively renovated by Madame Lamphoune Voravongsa and opened as a private hotel in 2002. Then in 2008 six more colonial style buildings consisting of 15 Deluxe rooms, 7 Junior suites and 3 Satri House suites were added to the exsisting structures.
The classic Luang Prabang colonial façade of tall windows, shuttered French doors and curved external staircase demonstrates the continuity of heritage and culture from the colonial era to the present day. Antique fabrics and furnishings create an atmospheric interior where guests can relax in comfort.

Guests can relax and enjoy meals and drinks in the courtyard garden beside the outdoor swimming pool. Each of the Suites and rooms are decorated in individual eclectic style, with windows opening onto the shady gardens. Satri House is a few minutes walk from the That Luang monument, in a residential area just outside the historic central town.
Facilities & Services
Breakfast is served in the covered garden salas or beside the shallow, cross shaped outdoor swimming pool. Drinks are served all day and evening. Guests can also relax on recliners, perhaps enjoying a traditional Lao massage. In the evening the courtyard and garden are candlelit.
The ground floor lounge is ideal for reading and relaxation in the antique surroundings and atmosphere of an exclusive private residence. Hotel facilities are private, with food and drinks served only to guests.
To preserve the peaceful setting of the rooms in the historic house and garden annex, and the fabric of the heritage building, telephones are situated in the garden reception area.
The Poolside area isa stroke of inspired genuis, there are two pools to recline by. The main pool, shaded by the original residence, has been expanded. The new pool is below, near the spa complex. The Hotel has recently added a Spa to their allready imressive list of facilities.
Recently Satri House added a fully operational restaurant and The Satri House Restaurant is the place to sample a taste of Lao.
